Yesterday we at Diversita.co.uk with Liv Blaney QAVS and Unida Consulting hosted the launch event of our new study "Masked Realities: The Unspoken Career Journeys of Neurodivergent (ND) Women".
We would like to begin by saying a huge thank you to everyone who was able to attend the event, it was a huge success and some brilliant questions were asked! Diversita would also like to thank Jon Hammant who allowed us to host the event in the Amazon Web Services (AWS) office in London, and had an amazing assortment of croissants for us all to snack on 😅.
The event began with a moving and thought provoking speech from the incredible Tania Martin who was kind enough to openly share her career journey, and the struggles she has faced being an ND woman in the workplace.
We then heard from Marc Crawley, our founder at Diversita and Liv Blaney at QAVS who discussed topics and themes seen throughout the study such as:
➡️ Career paths for ND women
➡️ How changes throughout education caused challenges for many of the individuals we interviewed
➡️ Masking
➡️ Disclosure, and the concerns of what follows
➡️ Rise of technology
➡️ What companies can do to take first steps to neuro-inclusion
➡️ And so much more…
We’re deeply grateful to everyone who contributed their time, voices, and support to this meaningful study. This includes everyone involved, from the individuals that we interviewed to the team at AWS who allowed us to host the event in their office. We are extremely grateful.
Together, we are building a future where neurodivergent women's experiences are more understood and are used to drive meaningful change.
If you couldn’t make it, stay tuned - we will be sharing highlights from the event and more about the research soon as we continue to amplify these important stories!
If you would like a digital copy of the study you can register for a copy here: https://www.diversita.co.uk/masked-reality-study
Special thank you to the creators of the study: Marc Crawley, Giulia Guida-Crawley, Liv Blaney QAVS, Sandra Guzman and Nathalie Mawdsley.
And a final thank you to Marc’s youngest son Tomas who filmed the entire event.
