We at Diversita are once again thrilled to discuss our latest study "Masked Realities: The Unspoken Career Journeys of Neurodivergent Women" In collaboration with Unida Consulting and Liv Blaney QAVS.
"Masked Realities" highlights the voices of over 40 neurodivergent women and incorporates insights from a survey of more than 100 participants. Their journeys and contributions form the foundation of this essential work.
Today, we’d like to highlight some of the striking findings from the study:
➡ 86% of women, 73% of men and 70% of non-binary/other were found to mask while in the workplace
➡ 74% of individuals were at least somewhat concerned with disclosing their neurodivergence at work for fear of it impacting their career
➡ 70% of women reported a work bias based on their neurotype, and 48% experienced similar bias but instead based on their gender
➡ Our surveys showed that only 39% of women had been diagnosed before the age of 35, compared to the men's percentage of 48%
